Research Director Sanna Sorvari, from the Finnish Meteorological Institute, has been appointed to the WDS (World Data System) Scientific Committee for the term 2015-2018. Dr. Sorvari was nominated for the committee by the Council of Finnish Academies. The new Chair for the WDS Scientific Committee is Professor Sandy Harrison. WDS operates under the auspices of ICSU (International Council for Science).
